Box - Buxus sempervirens 9cm

Buxus sempervirens is a firm favourite as it has a multitude of possible combinations for shape, height and use.Buxus sempervirens has dense, small, round, dark evergreen leaves with an average growth rate of approx 10-15cm per annum. Golden privet - Ligustrum ovalifolium 9cm

This variegated plant has bright green leaves with yellow margins and some completely yellow leaves and forms creamy white flowers in July, which are attractive to insects. It is less vigorous than the green variety (approx 20cm pa) and it will respond to clipping by forming a dense, formal hedge. Privet is resistant to pollution and therefore popular in urban and suburban gardens.
